POKOTABI / Hyakushoya
百笑家
Diners describe the yakitori skewers as generously sized, and recommend the three-kind sashimi platter and chicken sashimi. Small plates round out an evening meal at Hyakushoya.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
If the generously sized skewers catch your eye, consider ordering sashimi too. Diners describe the yakitori as large, and also recommend the chicken sashimi and tsukune topped with egg yolk. The menu includes a popular chef’s choice of skewers, chicken wings and yakitori rice bowls, so you can make the meal all about the skewers or add a rice dish.
For another dish to share, try the three-kind sashimi platter. One diner who recommended it also felt that the portions were generous. The menu lists an assorted three-kind sashimi platter as well as sunazuri sashimi (gizzard), offering a way to mix grilled skewers and sashimi with a few small plates.
Hyakushoya is open from the evening until 2:00 the following day, and accepts reservations. One diner who could not get in because the restaurant was full recommends booking by phone in advance, so it may be worth reserving if you have a particular evening in mind.
